💰 CAF – Housing assistance

Requirements:

• French phone number
• Fixed accommodation
• Social security number

Sometimes the allowance is sent directly to your bank account, and other times it’s sent to the landlord/agency, who should then apply the discount to your rent.

It’s retroactive. For example, if you lived in an apartment from September to November (3 months) without CAF and you were granted it starting in December, you or your landlord will receive a refund for those 3 months.
